We understand that this may be a scary time for some of our students and staff.
The Center for Diseases and county health officials are continuously assessing the situation and routinely providing updates and the college is also monitoring student and staff absenteeism.
The CDC recommends staying home if you are sick, except to get medical care. Therefore, we strongly suggest that you stay home if you are not feeling well. Older adults and people with underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes are at higher risk and may have compromised immune systems. If you are worried about COVID-19, you should begin rigorously washing your hands and using hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your face, try to clean and disinfect common areas, cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and avoid close contact with others.
